NUUS is issued once per month. Submissions should be e-mailed to the editor nuus@uumarin.org or place your submission in the Newsletter Mailbox in the Robinson Room (Community Room) at UUCM. The preferred format is a Microsoft Word file. News items should be less than 100 words; articles less than 250. The newsletter publishes news by and for UUCM. NOTE: Editorial staff reserves the right to edit all submissions for content, clarity or space; or to hold articles for future publication.

Adult Choir Practice meets each Tuesday from 7:30-9 pm
Childrens Choir Practice meets each Sunday directly after service
Summer- no choir practice. Choir rehearsals will resume 8/18 and first choir Sunday will be 9/7.
Social Concerns Steering Committee meets second Sundays at 12:30
Board of Trustees meets the fourth Monday, 7 pm
RE Committee meets the 3rd Tuesday, 6:30 pm, community workroom
Adult Education Committee meets every 4th Sunday, 12:30 pm, Clara Barton room.
Landscape Committee meets quarterly, Wednesday, noon
Men's Group meets first and third Wednesday at noon for a bag lunch

• July 17-21: UUCM Jenkinson Lake Sly Park Family Camping Trip
  
  This year, as in many past years, a congenial group of UUCM campers, adults, children, and pets will be car/RV/tent camping at the Sly Park Campground on Jenkinson Lake near Pollock Pines, about 3 hours from Novato.  We always have a great time: Swimming, boating, sightseeing, a Saturday pot luck bbq dinner, hiking in the Sierras, just plain relaxing, and whatever else suits our fancy.  It's an especially good time for UUCM newcomers to get to know people on a different level than on Sunday mornings, and it's a great place for the kids.
   
  Reservations for the first car at each site have already been made at the Hazel Creek Camp at Sly Park for a total 5 campsites: Numbers 155, 156, and 157 for those arriving on Thursday, July 17th, and Nos. 151 and 153 for those arriving on Friday the 18th. Additional vehicles will be charged at the gate upon arrival. All expenses will be pooled divided up equally on the last day. Last year the cost for camping ended up at only about $12 per vehicle per night.
