Photography of Burr Cavan (May 17,1924 - March 16,2011)
Memorial Exhibit
Burr spent 4 years at the prestigious Los Angeles Art Center College of Design studying color techniques and photography. He was a photo journalist who worked for the Milwaukee Journal for over 40 years. It was there he helped develop the first practical process for colored photos. While at the Journal he won a national award for a color photo for newspapers with subcriptions over 250,000. He enjoyed photographing fashion shows in NY City.
He joined UUCM in 2003 and was a member of the Art Committee.
Many of the photos in the current show are from time Burr spent in Italy.
