Annual Highlights

We have many traditional community-building events for you to enjoy. Below are just a few of our favorites — join us for one or all of them! Check the Facility Calendar for actual dates and times.

Note: Except for the Congregational Retreat, all events are open to the public.

SEPTEMBER: Ingathering Celebration. This Sunday service celebrates the beginning of a new church year. Bring water or stones from your summer travels. A potluck follows the service.
OCTOBER: Congregational Retreat. All church members are welcome to attend this fun-filled weekend away from the cares of everyday life. The retreat allows us to spend time together as a community, forge new friendships and strengthen old ones, and have lots of fun. The retreat will be held in October beginning in 2014.
NOVEMBER: Stone Soup Sunday. Celebrate Thanksgiving with us. Our youth reenact the Stone Soup story, reminding us that we are stronger together than as individuals.
DECEMBER: Christmas Eve Service. At this special time of year, celebrate Christmas at UUCM. This service includes traditional hymns and ends with a candlelight procession. A dessert reception follows the service.
FEBRUARY: Crab Feed. All-you-can-eat crab, clam chowder, and pasta! Open to the public.
MARCH/APRIL: Easter Service. Our service includes the traditional UU flower communion to honor the universal beauty of nature, followed by an egg hunt for kids.
APRIL: Auction. Our popular goods and services auction is open to the public.
MAY: North Bay Revival. All North Bay UU congregations gather for fellowship and fun. The program and location are different each year.
JUNE: Year-End Celebration. This Sunday service celebrates the end of another great church year. A potluck follows the service.
JULY and AUGUST: Sermons by Starr King Ministerial Candidates. Each summer, students from Starr King School for the Ministry are guests in our pulpit. Join us to hear their inspiring sermons.
