The Board of Trustees, the Minister and the Committee Chairs share leadership with very specific responsibilities. Each area of the leadership cultivates and supports full communication, consideration and feedback from its respected partners with an ultimate and essential concern for the larger voice of the congregation as a whole.
The Board consists of nine elected members of the Congregation. Each may serve one to three years in staggered terms to provide consistency in policy leadership. The Board's charge, as directed in the Bylaws of UUCM, is one of creating policy for our corporation. The Board's ultimate responsibility of shared ministry is providing definition and clarification, and creating a "container" for how we, as a religious community, shall be in relationship to one another, our tradition, our mission statement, bylaws, principles and purposes, and with our Unitarian Universalist Association and our larger community.
The Board of Trustees meets the fourth Monday of each month at 7 pm. UUCM members are welcome to attend.

Board Liaison Committee Assignments
As we come to the end of another UUCM program year and enter the quieter summer months, it is important to take stock of all that we have done together as a community over the last nine months and to honor all the hard work and commitment of individuals that have brought us to this moment.
Our RE program continues to shine under the strong leadership of DRE Linda Haumann, the RE Committee, committed teachers, advisors, and volunteers. Our building and grounds have received major improvements and countless hours of care thanks to John Q., Dave C., Ed D., Bill A., Wayne L., Joanne D., and dozens more who pitched in when help was needed. The Social Concerns and Green Sanctuary Committees, fueled by the tireless efforts of Joan N. and Jan Q., continue to find ways to turn ideas into action in support of the greater good. We all continue to reap the benefits of a redesigned website, carefully crafted by Lisa C. and a small but dedicated team of volunteer designers. And with the strong partnership of the Committee on Ministry and Interim Minister Rev. Lisa Presley, we have come to terms with the experiences and lessons of our recent history, preparing us to open the next chapter in the story of UUCM’s ministry.
But that doesn’t even mention the wonderful worship, compassionate pastoral care, astute financial stewardship, successful fundraisers and events, the preparations for the marketing campaign, rejuvenating Walker Creek retreat, and all the hundreds of other things I just simply don’t have the space to mention. It’s been a very busy year!
None of this would happen without you, and for that we are all grateful.
I hope you will be able to join us for the annual potluck and volunteer recognition after services on June 15, when you’ll have a chance to thank (in person) those who make UUCM such a strong and vibrant community, and be thanked in return!
See you on the hill,
Dan Mansergh
