We have many committees that provide different services and require different talents. You are invited to visit, participate, and join these groups as a way to become familiar with us and our work. To find out more about any committee, please contact the administrator for the name of the contact person for each group. This list is just a sample.
Adult Religious Education: Develops programming to meet the spiritual, social and intellectual needs of our congregation.
Art and Aesthetics: Conducts art workshops for all ages and coordinates art exhibits at UUCM, Reviews additions or changes to the building or its furnishings.
Child Care provider: Provides child care for UUCM events.
Children's/Youth Religious Education: provides classes for children and youth. Excellent opportunity for Teachers, Assistants and Nursery Assistants.
Committee on Ministry: Monitors the health of the shared ministry of both clergy and laity, and helps the congregation develop a clear understanding of its mission.
Communications: Oversees the newsletter, web site and e-mail lists.
Facilities: Identifies maintenance priorities and new projects, plans and carries out the preventive maintenance of the building and grounds. A Facilities Attendant receives a fee to serve as on-site caretaker for rentals.
Finance & Endowment: Helps draft the budget and monitors the financial health of UUCM, and oversees the investment and disbursement of the endowment funds.

Floral display for Sunday worship provided each week by a volunteer.
Fundraising: Identifies fundraising needs and coordinates fundraising activities and the fundraising calendar.
Green Sanctuary: oversees activites in Worship Collaboration, Environmental Justice, Religious Education, Sustainable Living to promote UUCM as a Green Sanctuary.
Greeter/Usher: Welcomes Sunday visitors and provides information about UUCM.
Hospitality: Plans, coordinates or offers consultation for social events.
Landscape: Helps maintain gardens and beautify the grounds. Great work parties!
Membership: Promotes an atmosphere of welcome, provides information for prospective members, and helps with member integration into congregational life.
Memorial: Provides for remembering our deceased members with memorial plaques, a place to contemplate, and the scattering of ashes.

Music: Provides music for Sunday morning service.
Partner Church: Builds relationship with our Partner Church in Transylvania.
Pastoral Care and Associates: Gives support and care to members of the congregation who are going through life transitions or are otherwise in need.
Personnel: Develops personnel policies, reviews job descriptions and contracts.
Public Relations: Gains access to media coverage and provides publicity for our events.
Social Concerns: Promotes education and advocacy for social justice issues and encourages direct service to improve living conditions for the homeless.
Stewardship: Encourages the spirit of generosity and gratitude, plans and implements the annual pledge drive, and maintains a planned giving program.
Retreat: Plans activities of the annual retreat and coordinates logistics.
Worship Associates: Assists the minister/guest speakers for Sunday services and works with a Sound Engineer, who runs sound system and tapes the Services.
Youth Adult Committee: Generates ideas for programs and activities and provides a forum for discussion of youth-related concerns in the congregation.
